John Barnwell, Do not Sell To him

Post by alandoss »

I have a Receiver I'm Selling and this guy emailed me and said he was very interested in it, could I send him some more Pics, I sent him more Pics, he said he liked what he saw and if the other person that I was dealing with first before him bowed out he would like to get the Receiver, because of so many days went by since he didn't return my email, I thought he didn't want it, so I listed it on Ebay, then he emailed me and said he wanted it, So I took it off Ebay Which cost me over $20.00 for the Main Feature price on Ebay, I then sent him a Paypal Money Request, and emailed him a few times, he then states in short form, I changed my mind after keeping me wondering whats going on and the Cost to try and Deall with this guy, I just don't want others here to have to go through what I just went through, 73 Alan.

so....... you are out 20 bucks because you decided to remove the item from ebay before you had payment or a deposit? Did I miss anything?

Yes you missed something, and that is if someone had made a bid on my Receiver through Ebay, I would not have been able to Sell it to this guy, I had to pull it to be able to Fairly Sell it.

but..... nobody made any bids, which is why you were allowed to pull it. And it was your decision to take the gamble and pull it, even after the guy had previously been less than responsive with you.

Seems we're arguing oranges and oranges.

Sounds like there were some communication shortcomings from the beginning, and since some fault (for lack of a better word) can be assigned to both parties, I think posting such harsh feedback in this forum is a bit excessive...... but this is only my opinion. I wasn't there. Just checking to make sure I read you right.

MAYBE.... based on the post below this one in this forum, the guy had to go to the hospital? http://chat.qth.com/viewtopic.php?t=4621
