K9DZD

Post by K6IUZ »

Toward the end of March I purchased an ATAS-120 from K9DZD. It arrived without delay and, upon opening the box, everything looked fine...nicely wrapped and appeared in very good condition, as the description indicated. I had been working on getting my car mount up and going so it was shelved till about the first of May. When I installed it there seemed to be an intermittancy in the base/mount section. I replaced the mount numerous times without improvement. I then borrowed a buddies ATAS-100 and it has been working fine for the past couple weeks (had a VI9 contact this morning). This seemed to indicate that there really was a problem with the 120. I then emailed the gentleman, K9DZD, that I purchased it from for advice on what to do with the non-functional antenna. After not receiving a reply for 5 days I sent another requesting info on what to do. Thinking I may have the wrong email address I sent another message through the QTH.com site, as he has other entries in the classifieds. Still no response. I then tried the original email address again in hopes of a reply. Still no reply. I understand that many people are traveling and may not check there messages for weeks at a time. However, I would like some reply. At this point I am wondering if anyone may have his correct email contact information as it looks like he may not be receiving any of my messages. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks...Tom...K6IUZ

Tom,

I just needed to congratulate you on the diplomacy used in your post. You stated the facts and your concerns without flaming or going stress ballistic as some have done on a questionable deal.
