Fun with AMAZON.com

Post by w0ipl »

I ordered some of the N95 filters from Amazon.com so that I could use my existing masks. These WILL be of real use if the - possible - pandemic makes it over the pond or if you have allergies like I do. They said "free shipping" if you ordered more that $25 worth of product, indicating five to nine days for shipment. The way it was worded I took it to mean you would receive the items in five to nine days. WRONG! They have taken twelve days to send me an E-mail saying the items "shipped". When I check with UPS (the transporting company) they say the "shipment" was registered online and that they do not yet have the items.

The "new" receipt date, per Amazon, is the middle of MAY. HELLO! Where is the five to nine day free shipping that appears to take six WEEKS?

I'll post more as things resolve themselves.

I recomnmend you look VERY closely at the Amazon.com documentation AND get everything in writing before you let them have your credit card number.

I guess attempting to save money for ARES/RACES preparation can cause inconvienience.
