K8GI.....not a good seller....BEWARE!

Post by ad5md »

This is just the 2nd time I am exposing a bad deal....I don't want to but I feel like I need to.

I purchased and paid the item Rick, K8GI posted here. Communication was good but, he sent a totally different item. Though for the same purpose it clearly was different from what he posted. When I emailed him back he said' "opppsss...my bad! Return it and I will correct it". Mistake? I honestly don't think so. How can one send an item which was not even posted as for sale? I searched and the only item he had posted was the one I paid for. I told him to send me the correct item and I will return the other one. No, he wants me to send the one I received 1st, before he "issues a refund AND to go ahead and pay again for the one I originally wanted"......seriously? So from the tone of his response there was a real obvious attempt on his part to cheat me out of what I paid for. I told him that I don't trust him anymore so its better for him to either send me the correct item or, refund my payment in full. He made it look like its hard for him to deal with me, saying that what he is requesting isn't hard for me to follow. So, it turns out that he as a seller who made a "mistake" is setting the terms to correct it, really?? I finally told him he can keep my money and his item will go to my trash parts bin....that the ham community is a vast one and news like this spreads. Guess what he told me that if I think I was being moral with my line, he's done with me trying to trash his personality and reputation...that he can't do anything anymore and that he's done with me. WOW!

I hate trashing people but be extremely careful dealing with Rick, K8GI. My biggest mistake was relying on the 2 good feedbacks for him and paid him via Zelle. I spoke to him on the phone and he sounded like a "rea" gentleman which he wasn't. Again, be CAREFUL DEALING WITH HIM. DOCUMENT everything (I did ), for when he denies, I have something to prove my point.
