On 22 April 2026, I engaged in buying from a said Richard Taylor, N2AUG, [email protected] , in the purchase of his MFJ-923 VHF/UHF Antenna Tuner.Using Zelle and remitting payment on 24 April 2026 to his purported son's Zelle account address, [email protected].

Under this suspected alias of Scott Gutierrez, to date Richard has refused any shipping information or further contact.

As a retired disabled Naval Aviation Officer at 72 y.o., I am filing a legal case in the State of New Jersey and Ohio and also reporting this to Zelle and the district FBI office as a crime.

Beware even if one sees an amateur radio call sign here at QRZ before engaging in any business and financial transactions especially using Zelle (which is also being reported to the FTC and Federal Reserve).

For years here at QRZ all of my purchases and sales have been 100% legitimate and without any similar behavior of our peer group until this incident.

When making a purchase or sale, use PayPal or VENMO as they have [provisions to handle these criminal actions of their subscribers internally.

A lesson learned.
