Digital Modes Kenwood TS570D

I operate Digital Modes with my TS570. I am using the SignaLink as the interface. I am getting ready to go to the RigExpert SD made by MixW folks. Presently I built a simple switch to switch between the Mic and the SignaLink. Works great. That way I do not have to disconnect the Mic everytime I want to go to the Digital Modes.

I now decided to upgrade my TS570 and in the process go to the RigExpert and get away from using the Sound Card. Friends have it and it works great. In talking to HRO I believe in Cincinnati, Rick, he said that in the new upgrades of the TS570 there was a way to switch or disable the MIC when going to the Digital Mode.

I called Kenwood and got a copy of the upgrades and nowhere in there do thety cover or discuss the Digital issue.

Now to my question, Anyone out there aware of a way to disable the MIC , possible turn MIC to "0" when operating Digitally or keep using my switch.

Boy was that a round about way to get to the question..

Suggestions accepted.
