Careful with Facebook!

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

Ham Radios For Sale group on Facebook has 19k+ subscribers.
When I politely pointed out that a deceased ham was posting gear for sale.
Truly deceased. Not a reissued call!
The moderator removed all comments except the original advertisement.

After seeing a few other sketchy adverts, I quit reading postings in that group.
Sketchy = New member. New to Facebook. Insufficient info to verify identity. Price = 60% of Ebay completed sales.

HAs anyone been taken via this group? If so, make it known. I doubt you'll be able to comment there!
