George G. Wellborn; WB5XX ..He put the 'A' in 'Advanced' ...

Post by Thomas (WT-101) »

Today, I received my as advertised Icom SM-10 microphone from George, WB5XX in the state of Arkansas. He had this advertised on QTH classifieds as a 'As new.. Mint SM-10 microphone'. He wasnt overstating at all :D ..
I couild barely detect fingerprints on the factory Icom box. It was everything he said it was. I willingly paid his asking price, and he picked up the shipping to Washington state. I am one of those who generally believe 'You get what you pay for'. The clincher last sentence in an email from him; "If you arent satisfied, just send it back for refund". George, when you read this I have news for you... You're NOT getting it back
I am thoroughly 110% satisfied with my purchase. I very recently bought a 'as new' (It was!) Icom 725. I have a 'couple' other Icom rigs and a new Icom SM-8 mic also purchased through QTH. Beings the 725 doesnt have a speech or mic compressor, the SM-10 should fill in the gap on the receiving end.

When the add appeared, I immediately emailed WB5XX and he responded immediately, and follow-ups were successfull; always answered questions about the item he was selling. That I believe is how a seller should be.
He had a good product to sell; I was in the market for the same item.
If you get the opportunity to do business with this man, he will not disappoint you. I have no reason to believe he will do you any different that he did me.
It was a pleasant experience.
Thanking George in advance (I still have to email him to inform that the mic did arrive today, the 14th of October),

Thomas, in Washington state.
(working on my Tech while listening & learning from those on 3.840 lsb, 8pm to 4am PST) I listen when I can.
