He says he is a ham, but unknown call. He has been going to hamfests in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan Claiming to have a business called: Extreme electronics. He has been selling new in the box Viewsonic LCD monitors.
Only brings one, and takes orders with deposits, and COD on balance. Well, I fell for it, and Deposited $465.00 with $135.00 balance due. Got a real nice receipt too! 3 weeks went by, and after numerous attempts to contact him, I called Elkhart Police. He was arrested before on 10-12 counts of theft by deception. He was ordered to pay restitution of around $40K. He is still active
in doing his thing, as the court date was July 29th 2005, and I got stung on
Sept. 11, 2005 at the Findlay, Ohio hamfest. I'm told he still has other warrants in other states also. So, Just beware if you have a run in with him.
If anyone else has had similar problems with him, please let me know.
