I was contacted via private email by a person posing as Gary Mellen, AX4HX with a Swan 117XC power supply for sale $100 shipped in response to an ad I placed on QTH for same. I sent him the $100 via Paypal but 'as family' so he wouldn't have a fee to pay. Bad move. The upside is I paid with a credit card thru Paypal so I may be able to dispute the transaction with MasterCard. They require the seller have 30 days in which to send the equipment, then I can file a dispute. Guys, you have to look at every angle when doing business with someone because the world is rife with sin and deceitful people. Trust no one. My policy is not to do what I did. I can only blame my lack of 'CMA' on an 'senior moment' of which I am prone to have these days. Make sure you know who your are dealing with before you send any of you precious equipment or hard earned money to anyone you don't know. Failure is not an option!
