W2HP-What a great Ham

Post by medman48 »

Good Day to my fellow hams. I am writing this note to express my admiration for a ham that I recently dealt with. His Call is W2HP; and his name is Pete Adely. I am sure most readers recognize the call and name. He was advertising a CDE controller unit that he had rebuilt, and I saw the ad, and promptly tried to lowball him. He replied that his price was fair(and indeed it was) so on followup notes, we arrived at a sale. He kept me up to date on the progress of the order, even emailing me when he was at the post office!! When notified the package was sent; I replied and asked another question about making the CDE able to easily disconnect from the rotor; as we have quite a problem with lightening here in Florida. He replied that he had a female pigtail and would work for me, and sent it to me without me asking. Both the controller and the pigtail arrived on the same day. Pete packed that controller so well that there was no way it cold be damaged by USPS. I have never received a package so well wrapped. I advised him that packages were received on the same day; and further told him that when I removed the cellophane from the controller; I almost thought the paint was still wet. The controller looks like it was just made by the company(actually I think it looks better than new.) We have had a few more communications, and I will soon put the controller in service. I want to recommend Pete's services to any ham that is having rotor/controller issues; or just needs a new system; his rebuilds are awesome. Thanks again, Pete; is was a pleasure to do business with you; and now consider you a friend.
Hope we can have a qso sometime.
