AC4BD Ok Transaction

Post by w0bkr »

Had a recent transaction with Bill, AC4BD. Item finally arrived and was as advertised. Bill seems to be an elderly op and had a good deal of difficulty in getting him to send me the tracking info either thru PP as he was instructed to do, or via email.

I wasn't in a hurry for the item, but once paid, I need some proof of shipment within a reasonable amount of time or some communication. After about a week of not providing proof of shipment, I had to file a dispute. It must have gotten his attention as he finally responded to via email and provided the tracking info (it had been shipped but no indication or proof). In fact, item arrived the next day after receipt of a tracking number in the email. So, if you deal with Bill, you may have some hand holding to get the info you need.

This should not have taken a dispute to obtain what should have been provided when the info was available, but I did finally receive the required info which allowed the dispute to be closed quickly. All could have been avoided with simple communication instead of "looking for the tracking info, can't find it, still looking" etc. Can cause red flags to be raised for the opposite end of the transaction. Follow the instructions and avoid the situation from occurring. A buyer should not have to frequently contact the seller for the info. provide it up front when you have it or indicate you are delaying shipment and for what reason.

I hope in the future Bill gets some help in on line transactions, as it might avoid a similar situation in the future.
