A few weeks ago I made a trade with John on an IC-7200 . We exchanged our radios and after doing some testing I found that the rig I received did not have full output on 160 meters. I discussed the problem with John and I told him I would run it to the other side of the state to Matt at the Icom service center and let Matt tell us what was up. Matt called and told me that the RF board was bad and he said someone else had repaired it before and recommended a replacement rather than a repair. I agreed and yesterday I picked up the 7200 and brought it back home. John payed for the repair and that made it all good . I actually discussed it with him and I did tell him at minimum I was looking at 1/2 the cost of the repair but John picked up the whole bill. Would I do another deal with John . Yes no problem there. He is a stand up guy .
Thanks John and also thanks to Matt Adrian at Icom service in Michigan . I dont think Matt had the 7200 for over a week for the repair and he told me he was back logged 3 weeks :).
100 to 105 output watts on all bands . Life is good .
