Potential scammer

Post by kb4mis »

Someone may be using call sign KC8SBZ aka Chris Walker. I posted a wtb and received a reply from him but emails and names were not matching up. Alias emails include cdw5561@gmail, chriswalkerD@hotmail

KC8SBZ is not a scammer

Post by ka3akqth »

Responded to a "For sale" add by KC8SBZ last week.
I wanted to go on record and say that the real KC8SBZ - Chris - is one of the most honest and good people of the Ham Radio hobby.
Fast to respond, patient with slow mail deliveries and a VERY RARE kind of HAM that ships an awesome radio before actually getting the Money Order.
Packaging was excellent, radio was in perfect shape with original box and all accessories...
A true HAM and if it ever comes to it again - I will be happy to do any deals with Chris in the future...

P.S. Perhaps, some time ago KC8SBZ callsign was used by a scammer scumbag. So, always do your homework, check the IP address (a great verification service provided by QTH), check the home address, FCC records and definitely call the fellow ham... chat...get to know them... and then you will not have to worry about the transaction...
