Scammer claims to be W1VM

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

Scammer claims to be W1VM

I have been contacted by an individual stating he is W1VM but I am unable to verify identity. Individual uses email address of (W1VM's first name, middle initial, last name and callsign) at gmail.com. Individual wanted Zelle or Venmo payment sent to his wife's account. Asked individual to call me but only hearing crickets.
