So far I have purchased two of Dan's gi7b conversions. The first one I purchased was heathkit sb-230. The amp worked great up to the day I traded it to my friend and till this day he's still running it. With little over 30 watts of drive the amps does 600 watts. The second amp I purchased was a dentron 160-10l converted to use two gi7b. The amp works great, easily does 1000+ watts. I sti use it to this day. With the prices of modern glass envelope tubes going through the roof it's hard to beat the prices of gi7b tube.
