This individual has listed an Acom 1500 for sale. I purchased an Acom 1500 from him previously that he had said came from HRO and was a few months old. To make a long story short, after a couple days on the phone and computer it was discovered that the amp originally was sold by Array Solutions to another ham and W4JCW had purchased it from him. The amp was not a few months old as he indicated either. He gave excuses such as personal illness, death in family etc. but as I indicated to him if his personal situations do not allow him to be honest with other hams he should not post equipment for sale. If anyone contacts him about the amp he is now listing you should probably ask for a copy of the bill of sale to him and verify it before any money changes hands.

In response to this "guy"...during the time he purchased the amp he purchased from me I was in fact battling cancer and lost my youngest son (18 years old) so to say the least I was going through a LOT...I had two Acom 1500 amps and apparently shipped an amp to him that was 9-8-9 months old vs 2-3 months old....I guess in his opinion this makes me a bad guy...I offered to send him my new Acom 1500 (newer version, black face model) that is 3-4 months old...and YES, I have the receipt for it as I am the original owner of it, he declined to accept that offer...I ask if there was something wrong with the amp that I sent to him, he stated there was nothing wrong with it and a look at his QRZ page indicates he is still using it. I guess some folks just need something to complain about...I hate that he has such a miserable life that he feels like he needs to make others miserable as well...

Watson is full of nothing short of hot air. His emails to me were bluster, name calling, etc. Anyone wanting to know what he is about can contact Jay Terleski at Array Solutions who has also dealt with his idle threats etc.

FWIW: I just purchased a MINT condition ACOM 1500 from John, and found invoice in box, no issues with me on the deal. As far as Array Solutions goes, I stopped dealing with that company about 8 years ago, they will NEVER see
another dime of my money. Easy to understand if John and Array Solutions had heated email exchanges.
Thanks for the nice recent purchase MINT condition ACOM 1500 John. :)

Glad you got him to send you a copy of the original invoice. Some of us were not as fortunate. Additionally, you did not get the emails with the name calling when he knew he was wrong to begin with.
