A little backstory. I have a good friend that sent me a link to a for-parts Yaesu FT-101e (Missing transformer and a few other things) which was perfect since someone gave me a parts radio with the needed stuff. I Contacted Mr. Campbell on the 19th in July of 2015 to purchase the radio. We had some conversations about it and finally we agreed to a price, to which I admit, stupidly agreed to the Family/Friends transfer of roughly $130. After payment was sent, he mentioned that he had a ton of boards for these things and wanted to test a few and throw them in the box, along with little extra pieces and parts. I was okay with that.
A little more time went by, we were chatting back and forth for a bit and he was helping me with what may be needed for the radio ahead of time, a few components and such so I could get it all ready ahead of time. On about August 5th he mentioned that FedEx came and picked it up and also said he was having email issues. After sending multiple emails asking for tracking or some sort of confirmation on August 13th he emailed me saying he just got his computer back from repair shop from a virus issue, and also that FedEx returned the package and they wrote my address wrong (Street instead of Route), he mentioned that he saw the mistake and will send it right back. We talked back and forth for the day about virus programs. Then on August 14th.... Nothing... No replies, no emails, no calls.. nothing.
I have sent multiple emails in an attempt to get a hold of him, I tried to send him an inbox message on here, and tried to call the number he supplied me that seemed to have gotten disconnected at first but was then just ringing off the hook when I tried calling it more recently. He seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, did something happen? I didn't think it was an intentional scam though, since after payment he kept in constant contact.
All I want is either the described radio or the payment I made back, but something tells me I will probably not see either. At least its only $130 and not more, but still annoying nonetheless.
