DX-150A: Here's the story: I bought this from a K0HE in Bellevue (So. Omaha) NE on Wednesday May 13 this year for $130. Supposedly he had bought it at the Radio Shack in Bellevue in 1973 when the store opened. He also stated he has been the only owner. He did not have the manual nor the 12 volt car plug in.
When I got home with it, (yes I drove to Bellevue, "So. Omaha" to get it and not let it get damaged by shipping). I tried to get some stations and it failed. What I found was that the slide switches were scratchy and failed to make contact at all times. The band changing switch was also scratchy, sort of like an old 1960 TV tuner. I tried it at a different location, same fail results. So I would alert anyone thinking about a purchase, think TWICE.
I live in a senior condo and have no working space nor any tools to do repairs etc.

Re: SCAM by K0HE
The buyer was told that it was 43 years old and may need some spray cleaner for the pots. It was bought by myself at that time. The buyer was told that he should get some spray cleaner which Radio Shack sells to take care of this problem. The receiver works great. It is sensitive and very selective! I have owned several Realistic receivers and my 150A is one of the best. I have an excellent selling record and accurately and honestly describe my items listed. This buyer just wanted to get something for nothing! I would very gladly have him return this receiver for a full refund if he is not satisfied. I tried to contact him by email but he does not choose to respond.
Re: SCAM by K0HE
I just had a very positive transaction with Rick, K0HE.
Rick had a fairly complicated piece of equipment of unknown operational status, but went above and beyond in working with me to determine as much as we could, and then we completed the deal.
Shipping was prompt, packaging outstanding and Rick was a very straight up guy to work with.
If the previous posting here causes you to think twice as it did me, I encourage you to reach out directly to Rick and judge for yourself. I was very happy with him.
