DON'T DEAL WITH W5LW

Post by K1GLD »

Roger Martin, W5LW, advertised an Ameritron 80A amplifier for sale on this site. After some correspondence, we agreed on a sale price and I paid him via Paypal. After much corespondence, Mr. Martin decided that he did not want to sell the item, however, he failed to notify me. Along the way, he came up with an incredible list of excuses. The only one that he didn't use was that "his dog ate his homework. He is a scammer, an unreliable seller and a dishonorable man. Although he did refund the money after almost two weeks, his failure to live up to an enforceable contract has created a situation where I now have to spend additional funds to obtain an amplifier. My advice as either a buyer or seller, DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ROGER MARTIN, W5LW. If you want more information, please contact me.

Well well, after reading this post Roger wanted to send me $150 for the Avvid Radio repair bill invoice thru Pay Pal. I asked him before about the cost of $25 plus the $150 for shipping to the repair center also should be included, I accepted his $150

The buyer bought a radio from me, when delivered he sent me emails that he loved it and it worked
>great, Then 2 or 3 days later he said it went out, actually the PLL unlocked
>on it, IHe said he was going to send it to Aavid and I told him I would pay at least half the repair bill.
>When it was repaired I paypaled him the entire repair bill amount and
>then he wanted his shipping cost also. I refused because that was not
>what we agreed upon. I also gave him the option in the beginning to
>send the radio back and I would refund his money.

K1GLD is mistaken on his accusations, I looked up my paypal transactions and he payed me on Jan 11 2014 and I refunded his money on Jan 17 2014, I have the paypal transactions to prove it, It was refunded because the amp had problems I wasn't aware of and was not going to ship it that way.
