I (KK4ULE) am fairly new to Ham Radio (last Oct) and have been looking for a nice dual band radio for the past few weeks when I stumbled onto this site. Considering the fact that this site is base primarily on the honor system I was very reluctant to make a purchase. I found a nice Yaesu FT-7800R dual band radio posted by Alexis, W2LEX and after a few emails decided to take the chance.
Alexis was very nice, informative, and more than fair on the price as she even lowered it slightly from the original asking price as she could not find the mobile mounting bracket that went with it. Within minutes of sending the money Alexis sent me a confirmation email. Within hours of that I received another email from her with pictures of both my package @ the post office and the receipt/tracking number. Alexis had told me that she would cover the cost of shipping so I was expecting it to arrive in 3-5 days with the possibility of it even taking up to 10 days as normal ground mail can take that long at times. Again, to my surprise, Alexis not only sent it insured but she sent it 2 day priority mail. I think anyone, new ham or 90 years old, can appreciate getting your new toy as fast as possible. The radio was just as described, the price was even better then the originally cheap listed price, and she sent it nearly as fast as possible.
This young lady is as good as gold and I would not hesitate to send her any amount of cash. If you are considering making a deal with this young lady, do not think twice about it. Thank you Alexis for making my 1st transaction here such a pleasant one. It is nice to know there are some good people still out there. 73 to all, KK4ULE.
