How much someone who love these old radios should pay for one that be in mint condition,as new?

Don't want to scare you or even discourage. There was one on
e-bay that went for over $3k.

No Ed,you don't scare me,precisely,I followed that crazy auction that ended in the very insane price of $3050,that made laugh so much :D Who said Drakes are losing price? If the guiness book had a dedicated place for hams deals,sure this one was going to be there and the guy who bought it as well,don't you think?

If (and that's a big if) I had that kind of extra money, the item would
need more soul, history and character than a Drake transceiver.
I have several Drake's and appreciate what they are.

And IF I had that kind of money I would buy a real radio,not definitively an old Drake,I have repaired lots of them and know exactly what they are,thanks ED
