I had the unfortunate luck to purchase a TS-130S listed on EBay by NA1X of Agawam, MA The description was as follows “It is for a Kenwood TS-130S HF Transceiver which is in good condition”. I have tested it on all the bands and find it to work great. There are a few scratches here and there, but nothing serious." Nothing serious ……. The unit had been repainted with some flat black with lots of dirt embedded into the finish. None of the cabinet hardware was removed prior to paining. Upon internal inspection I found missing hardware stripped screw holes etc. I realize the radio is very old and would have expected some rubs, bumps, and scratches but when the description good condition I would think it meant good condition. The only correct part is worked. I would not expect it to have been spray painted with sand all over the feet, cooling fan, switches etc. Even the supplied microphone connected was epoxied together.
