The sale of the “Swan 500CX” with W1MBB began normally but has NOT completed to satisfaction. It began on about Sept 22, 2010 and I have waited to post feedback because I’m waiting for him to refund some money. I have lost contact with W1MBB and have NOT received the promised refund portion of the sale that he offered. It has been since Oct 18, 2010, 12 days since he last promised the refund. If W1MBB is having an issue and DOES complete this transaction I will be happy to add to this feedback but right now I feel like I’ve been scammed out of $40 and find it hard to believe that someone would sacrifice their reputation over $40. I'm waiting for a reply.
My initial questions about the "advertised Swan 500CX" were answered promptly and what appeared to be an open and honest manner so I sent the requested amount. Aday or two after that I discovered from closer examination of the picture that he provided that the rig was NOT what was advertised but appeared to be a 500C (and eventually it turned out to be a 500 after it was received). After sending a note and some supporting info, W1MBB made an offer to sell it for a lesser amount, send the original manual instead of a copy and also send a mic. I agreed and asked if he’d ship to a different address and if there was any difference in shipping to adjust the amount of the refund up or down. He agreed and shipped and I then agreed to the original $37 shipping even though the actual was more like $24. The rig was received but had a problem, not disclosed, that caused the main power fuse to blow because the PA Plate variable cap had plates that were shorted together.There was no way to operate the rig without blowing the fuse. Fortunately it turned out to be relatively easily fixed and the rig worked fine. W1MBB said the rig had no such issue when he had it and I assume it must have somehow happened from continued bouncing during shipping. I am still waiting for the agreed-to refund and have contacted W1MBB twice regarding the refund. The first time was after about 26 days from initial sale and he said, ‘thanks for reminding me. I’ll send it out’. It is now another 12 days. I have the e-mail trail that documents all of the above. It is not clear to me what, if anything, has gone wrong as W1MBB is not responding...thus this feedback posting. I'm hoping it will end positively.

Refund received
Jeff acknowledged receipt of the $40 refund check last week.
A refund check was sent a couple weeks before, but according to Jeff, it was never received, so a replacement was check was promptly sent, when I was informed of this.
By the way, the $40 refund was voluntary on my part to make up for mixup in model number.
Just so you have the whole story.

Sale experience ends well - Thanks
As noted, replacement check for first one that did not arrive was received. I deposited it yesterday and am happy to report that the sale ended well.
The Swan rig and supply is functioning well and is used a few days a week.
