aj lewis,
straight shooting honest old school ham. things are always easy when a deal goes down smooth. its never a measure of a persons integrity when all goes well. the real measure of another's honesty is how he responds when the deal just doesnt work out right. aj and i just swapped $15,000 worth of current model almost new equipment. aj's $5000 piece arrived to me and the ci-v converter was not working. did it take an esd from the peanuts it was packed in? did it take a static charge when i opened it up? nobody knows! i called aj and we both instantly agreed to split the cost of repair including shipping to and from icom service in michigan. well, matt jumped on it right away, replaced a faulty transistor in the ci-v unit and it was on its way back to me. total cost including shipping, $285. aj promptly sent me a check for $142.50.
trust aj. if something is not right, pick up the phone, call aj and he will make it right. always good hoss trading with aj. the way amateur radio should be.
happy hoss trading paul w8jn
