KG4HCE Buyer Beware

Post by w1wn »

Dana advertised an Alinco power supply for sale in good condition. Upon receipt, it was badly scratched and the meter did not functiion at all. I brought this to his attention and requested that he refund the purchase price and I would pay the return shipping. He responded indignately that he tested the power supply and that it worked as intended and the scratches did not affect its performance. When I asked him about the meter he ignored me and responded that he would never do business with me again. Don't worry about that OM.

Having been licensed for only a month, perhaps Dana has yet to learn the unwritten "code" existing among most experienced hams: Hams don't screw other hams, no matter what.
.
If he were to contact you and make proper restitution for misrepresenting the item he sold to you, he will learn another charistic of most hams, we value honesty and integrity and will accept him as a ham again.

If not, he can have his license canceled, if he wants, he will no longer be one of us.
