KE5MUJ seller review

Post by kj4mxm »

I purchased a used Yaesu FT-8900R from Joel, KE5MUJ. He included the separation kit that came with it, as well as two duplexers to split off 6m and 10m into separate antennas if desired.

This is my first rig (I got my first ticket as a General a couple of months ago), and my first time purchasing via QTH. I paid via money order sent certified mail, so I was a little nervous about whether or not I was sending my money into a black hole, never to be seen again.

Joel KE5MUJ shipped the sale package pretty much as listed (a couple of mounting bracket screws were missing, no biggie) within a couple of days of receiving my money order. On receipt, the radio functions just fine, RX and TX.

Joel's e-mail address that he used for the transaction was linked to his smartphone, so e-mail responses from him were very quick during normal waking hours in his timezone.

I was satisfied with my transaction with Joel KE5MUJ. He delivered what he said he would in a reasonable timeframe after receiving my payment. I give a positive reference for him as a seller to others purchasing gear he posts, based on my experience.
