NE6V Deal Resolved

Post by w8er »

About 10 days ago, I agreed to buy an AL80B from Joe NE6V. If you have been following the topic you know that it didn't go all that well. Frankly, I still do not understand what went wrong and why it became so difficult to resolve the issue. I suppose that we could blame the illness that both Joe and I share and the mind altering drugs that accompany the treatment. There's a joke in there somewhere! Joe is not having a good time but I find that treating people unfairly cannot be justified that way. All I can say is ... whatever

I am pleased to tell you that a full refund was made, including the Paypal fees. That cost Joe a bit. I have had an good exchange of email with him and as far as I am concerned, there are no hard feelings BUT I would not do business with him again. It just wasn't fun for me!

Thanks also to Scott for the patience that he displayed. I have made hundreds of purchases and sales on QTH.COM and have been bitten twice. That's a pretty remarkable record for Scott's website. It still is the best venue for trading amateur radio equipment on the internet.

I warn each one who reads this .. get to know the person that you are dealing with before you send the $$$. The phone number is displayed prominently for each ad. Call the person. Talk to him and if that isn't possible or you still have butterflies about doing it ... DON'T. It might be a good deal and then again ......

73 guys and thanks -- Larry W8ER
