You know what I always say about dealing with non-hams. And if you don't, go to the Safe Trading Tips section, in this forum, and read up!

I just read an add he placed for a TS-2000 for just $800 and it has all the filter slots filled??? That's funny because a TS-2000 don't have any filter slots!! I know because I own one. Can we say fishy? Maybe or maybe not but I wouldn't take the chance.

I don't know about anyone else, but if someone ripped me off for that kind of money, I would spend whatever it took to go and personally give this a** ho** a personal "tune up".

Is this the web site of the same Don Pritchard?

Is the "qsl.net" a coincidence?

It would appear that the Don Pritchard on that web site is from the United Kingdom. But the weird part is... how did this wind up on QSL.net -- it has nothing to do with ham radio!

EDIT: I contacted QSL.net and they removed that non-ham site from their servers.

Combi:

Can you provide more information?

Was Pritchard's ad on www.qth.com site? Other sites?
What address was used to send him money?
What phone number, etc., if any, did he provide?
What email address did/does he use?

We can't be of much help without all of the details.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Don Pritchard who is named in this forum as someone engaged in the fraudulent sale of ham radio gear is not Don Pritchard W6ZPC. I just received my technician class license last summer and was very surprised to find my name mentioned on your website as someone engaged in sales scams. Rest assured that it is not me.
