About Paul Glassman W8JN

Post by w1nx »

I’d like to start by saying that this is my first time leaving feedback for a fellow amateur radio operator, I sent Paul about $2200.00 worth of radio equipment in a trade, when I got my items there was a visible damage to the unit, I contacted Paul and there was no hesitation, he started the claim immediately and send back my equipment in the same condition. I just wanted to share my experience with the QTH community.
Thank you,

rick and i swapped gear. i sent him an immaculate icom ic-781. he sent me a ts-2000x and an icom ic-7000. if you know anything about the 781, the regulator transformer will be damaged if the rig is dropped , even if properly packed.
well, the shipping company dropped the box (quadruple boxed in original factory box and styro). it arrived damaged. it was my responsibility to get the rig to rick in a-1 order. his equip arrived fb. i instantly sent his stuff back and told him the damage was my problem and dealing with the shipping company was also my responsibility.
to often we hear about gear arriving damaged and the seller says "well, i will refund your money if the shipping company honors my claim" welllll to that i say B.S. its the buyers job to send money and the sellers job to guarantee working equip to arrive. if the shipping company damages the rig, its the sellers responsibility to refund the buyers money right now and make it right!
thanks rick and i am sorry you did not end up with my beautiful ic-781.
happy hoss trading... paul w8jn
