Let me start out by saying i blame myself, why, simple i did not follow my own advice. Which is if it sounds to good to be true than it is. Also i did not attempt to use the phone number in the ad as that would have saved me from my greed in this case and stupidity. I have now been in contact with John Mullis(N0EE the real John Mullis) and he is working on fighting this scam also. So bewarned they are getting more sophisticated in stealing and using another Hams call so my advice is i don't care if you've been buying from them before pickup that phone and don't be gullible like i was. Here is a copy of the ad i responded to and Scott if your reading this let me know so i do not need to contact you......Larry Huff K0pd

Danny i bit on it. But what made it all seem so legitimate was he used another hams call(N0EE) and i searched it and he had good feed back plus when i sent the Money Pay Pal had him as a legal acct. My Big mistakes of course was it was to good to be true and i normally would never have thought much about it and ignored it but i recalled a yr or so ago when there was TS 2000's being sold on here and E Ham for 8-900 dollars. So i thought because the call gave me good feed back that it was OK. Where i really screwed up was i never bothered to try and call them with the phone number they gave. The phone number was a Las Vegas number that no one answers plus the real N0EE lives in MO. So hopefully this explains it a little better. What got me suspiscious was about a hour after i bit on it they reposted another TS 2000 for $950.00 and that was when i tried e mailing and calling with no results as i was thinking what kind of junk did they sell me. So from now on i hope i've learned a valuable lesson and hopefully others will learn from my mistake...Larry k0pd

everybody makes mistakes larry hope you can get your money back through pay pal. i must admit i called the number listed no answer and not even a voice mail i will not deal with anyone i cant talk to on the phone. however this does not mean the deal want go sour because it has happened to me. i check out the call sign for feedback and it came back very good. seems to me scammers are using all the hams call signs to sell on the internent. i could have very well done what you did but i had a gut feeling about the whole deal.hope you can recover from this. this crooks day is coming and today would not be soon enough. 73 de w4pig
