Do not buy from KD8HJQ (Daniel). He sold a "working amplifier" to me for $300. It was a Clipperton V with a promise to obtain the tube. He did not refund the shipping charge difference, packed the unit poorly, it arrived without the tube and in non-working condition. Too dangerous to even plug in! It was in a flood and badly rusted. He made no attempt to disclose ANY out of the ordinary problems with the unit. I tried to send it back for a refund, he refused the package. I had to sue him in court. We'll see where it goes. Avoid Daniel Matheny!

I advertized My amp on ECARS. I told EVERYONE that I did not know much about it EXCEPT that it DID NOT HAVE A TUBE in it. It was given to me for partial payment for some tower work that I did. I told Joe that it did not come with a tube but,...I would try and see if I could aquire one from the ham who gave the amp to me,and IF I could,I would send it with the amp or send it later.I told everyone that I didnt know if it worked or not because their was no tube in it.I told this to Joe several times and I never promised him that I would get him a tube, but that I would TRY to get one from the ham who GAVE it to me and if I could I would give it to him at no cost to him. I Never even took the top cover off of it ,or ran rf through it. HOW couldI with NO TUBE? As for the duct tape,Joe told me on the phone that it arrived in fine shape ,no damage to the box or anything.Yes I am a new HAM,but a truthfull and GOOD HAM and I Never kept anything or information about the amp. He didnt ask for pics or anything.I ask all of you who read this,...How could Joe think that this was a working amp when their was Never a tube in it? I have been involved in radio my whole life but just recently got my ham ticket. But after this I will never sell anything again .
