N5SBZ, Irvin Hinton - a man of honesty and integrity.

Recently Irvin Hinton advertised a transceiver for sale. I was very interested in it but, had to wait until funds arrived to be able to afford the deal. He didn't have any pictures available for the radio but, assured me that it was "like new" in all respects so, I trusted his description and I certainly was not disappointed. That usually throws up a little red flag when spending a fair amount of money.
Irvin graciously accepted my offer to buy and would hold onto the radio for a few days until I confirmed that my payment was on the way to him. When it arrived, Irvin called me to let me know he had received my payment but, was concerned about shipping it over the holidays. But, I assured him that if it was packed properly, I am sure it would survive and asked him to ship as soon as possible, which he did.
The transceiver arrived today and was double boxes and the radio cushioned inside it's box with the box cushioned in the outer box. The outer carton was in excellent shape and not even a corner was pushed in! Irvin certainly knows how to pack a radio! It is one of the best packing jobs I have seen short of the formed foam inserts on OEM packages. The radio was complete and in no less than perfect condition. I couldn't even find a finger print on it! It is, as he stated, "like new".
Irvin sent the tracking information and gave me his guarantee that if I wasn't completely satisfied that he would refund my money so long as I covered the return shipping. It really can't get any better than that. But, there won't be any returning this radio. It is exactly as I was hoping it would be and Irvin has certainly satisfied my purchase.
I have bought and sold many pieces of equipment through QTH.com and other venues including eBay. It is refreshing to find honest hams with real integrity that make it a pleasure to do business with them. Irvin is one of those. He has my highest recommendation for anything he sells and you can trust him.
Thanks, Irvin, for a memorable and smooth transaction!
