whal, i did not know so much about my self, and how much people know about me. 1st i would like to thank scott for the super website he has created for hams to buy and sell equipment. (and also he has not banded me from his site). i have also made many contributions to the site to keep the lights on. also i have sold quite a few, and bought many pieces of equipment from this site, with no problems, until now. as a lot of u computer buffs know you can alter emails, and resend out different addresses. to clear up a couple things yes the company i work for does do work for the millitary, and sometimes iam gone for a period of time. also mike ve2xb has pulled my family in on this deal, and that is not right. also there is 2 hugh carrolls live around here. what was really crazy was i was changing my phone message 4-5 times a day ( come on give me a break) i have has the same phone message for 7 years. i will gladly post my email address [email protected]. if someone would like to email me on this issue, or i will email my phone no# so we can talk. i really belive mike is a nice person. i wuld give some history on this deal, i sold a icom 765 to mike march of 2008, which he sent me a check for 850.00 including shipping and insurance. i shipped him the radio to the address he furnished me. he emailed me and said he received he box. i thought all was well. got a email from mike in july 2008, and he informed me that the radio was no good, and the radio had been the box, (he never opened i to see if it was ok), and he had given the radio to some blind guys to use, (he called them the boys), and he wanted me to return his money, with the return shipping back to me. i told him that he has had the radio to long and i dont know what anyone had done it the radio, and emailed me that he was going to post a bad report on qth on how i scamed him on this radio.i emaled him and told him the only thing i will do send the radio back, and i will have it checked out. ( thats where the other 50.00 of the 900.00 came from). mike shipped me the radio on 7-16-2008. i received the radio on 7-23-2008. i tool the radio to b checked out on 7-25-2008, and picked it up on 7-29-2008. emailed mike and told him the radio, was fine no problems with it, and all to specs, and told him to send me the 50.00 shipping back, and the 50.00 check out fee. he wrote back and said that he was not goin to send the money for the shipping. he said the radio was not worth the money he had invested, and he wanted his money back 900.00. told him i did not want it back, and he need to send me the shipping back. he refused. we have had maybe 3-4 emails in some pretty hot topics about wanting money back. we contacted a law firm, to get some input on this, and was advised to send him back the radio with a envoice enclosed. which i did on 7-8-2009. i emailed him and told him the radio had been shipped, and was emailed back to me that he would check the radio out and maybe say if the radio is ok, if not he was to put more on qth. so guys iam goin to let u make the judgement, on what should been done. iam not hiding from anyone. quite a few hams have no#, and my email address is in the above message. i have been a ham for 22 years, and have had not had anything like this happen. so guys be sure when u sell a iece of equipment, be sure the receiver checks it out, when they receive it. thanks for your time, and good haming. huey kd3ui

Huey finally sent the radio and I strongly believe it was the postings that persuaded him to do so. Otherwise, I really believe he wouldn't have sent the radio.
I do not believe that he works for the State Dept bcuz he would at least know how to spell rebuttal. His version was rebuddle...quite silly and juvenile.
I liked his story though. However, not as good as "Mary had a little lamb..."

Many thanks for all the support from the forum and Scott.
