I have a ts-820 with a vfo-820, I need the wiring for the patch cord. I have both plugs and no manual. Can any one tell me how to wire the pins # on the plugs. I dont want to make smoke & sparks trying to sort it out. I would be greatful for any help.

I can't help you but.... the VFO 820 is electrically the same (identical) as the VFO 520. That should provide you with additional sources of information.
