I just had a bad transaction with Terry too. I posted an ad to sell or trade (for an HTX-10) my Icom T21 Handi and he responded with the offer of an HTX-100 which was like new. We spoke on the phone and he sounded OK and we agreed to ship the rigs by two day Parcel Post, which I did. I waited and waited and no rig and no response from him. I then sent an e-mail requesting the tracking number. Again no response. I called him and he said that he had shipped it UPS ground the Friday after I shipped to him, ie after he would have already received my unit. He assured me it would be there in a day or two. Still no unit. I e-mailed asking for a tracking number. Still no response. Over two weeks have gone by since the start of this transaction.

I spoke to Terry a week ago Sunday to find out what happened to the rig he was supposed to send me and why no replies to my e-mails. He said he was in the hospital for a few days and that the rig he sent bounced back as "undeliverable". strange as I had received other shipments in the time frame. So I asked for info on the address he used and tracking info and he didn't have them. Then he told me that the battery on the handi I shipped him was dead. strange as it worked fine when I tested it. I told him if he was unhappy then to ship the handi back , but he said he would keep it. He then expressed anger at my posting here and asked me to remove it. I told him I would after I received the rig. He said he would ship it again but didn't have my address, call sign, phone number, and the e-mails seem to have vanished from his computer! strange. I gave him the info again and he said he would ship it. Finally I got the rig yesterday. Missing mounting brackets. incomplete power cord. and it smells smoky like it was in a fire. But it works! I checked it out today. So I guess the deal is done. Not the smoothest most pleasant like others I have done. Hopefull the brackets will come some day ( along with a bottle of smoke-X.
