FRIENDS! This is how hams should work together through a completely snafu'ed deal and still walk away happy and friends. Harry and I traded rigs. I send him a "New in Box" hf rig and he sent me his "as new" rig for the swap. Harry's rig was great.. Mine was deader than a door nail!!!! WOW new in box and not working. I asked Harry if he wanted to keep it and send it to the factory under warranty. He said no and as ups arrived, I refused his rig and it went straight back to him. I asked harry to send mine to the factory for warranty repair then back to me. He did so and I waited. Harry called the factory and they told him my rig was indeed nib and the problem was simply a wire out of place, easy fix. harry called and said he decided he wanted my rig, so i had the factory ship it to him. He shipped me his rig and I agreed to reimburse him shipping.I went to New York for work and forgot Harrys $20. He called after a two week delay and I send him a pmo. Another two weeks and he did not receive the pmo. FINALLY... good old pony express got the pmo to harry. Postmarked Feb 24 delivered from ohio to mich march 8. Dead equipment.. "the check is in the mail" Murphys law in action...Harry and I just kept in touch and worked our way through this wacky deal. Everyone is happy with terrific equipment.
