Hooked my TS-50 to my recently acquired AT-50 and have what may or may not be a problem. The tuner automatically follows frequency/band changes on the TS-50 just fine and I can also initiate auto tune from the transceiver. The problem is I can not get the tuner to go out of the AUTO mode into the THRU mode so I can manually tune the tuner or just take it out of the circuit. When I first power up the TS-50, I can get all the tuner fuction buttons to respond normally, up and down band, tune, and atuo/thru. Once the auto tune completes its 2-3 second cycle those buttons are locked out. The operator's manual indicates that the unit should be switchable between auto and thru. I have not tried to power the tuner seperately with the cable between the TS-50 and AT-50 disconnected. Anybody got any clues?
