Hook-up for Johnson Low Pass Filter

I bought a used E.F. Johnson model 250-20 low pass filter about two weeks ago. I have been trying to find out if anyone knows how the low pass is supposed to be hooked up. This one has no markings for Xmtr or Antenna, just a small piece of yellow plastic tape at one end and a piece of grey tape at the other end. Can anyone tell me if the filter has to be hooked up with the antenna side to the antenna and transmitter end to the xmtr, and what end is the yellow and grey tape for? Ron Johnson, K9BGD
