QTH.COM Swap Chat

Hi, I have an Icom IC-756 and when you turn Preamp 1 on it's about the same as with Preamp off (maybe even a tiny bit less!). Preamp 2 works great, brings the signal way up but Preamp 1 does not boost the signal at all....Anybody familiar with this? The receiver is excellent. Maybe an adjustment somewhere for Preamp 1?
