John N9WZG posted an ad selling a couple older 2 meter mobile radios. No prices listed, just make an offer. By the time I contacted him and made an offer on one of them, he had sold it. I made an offer on the 2nd one and he accepted my offer. We exchanged emails back and forth a few times as he explained the condition of the radio.. I live in a very rural area that is not routinely serviced by UPS and FedEx, so "special shipping" was necessary.. John explained that he has a very busy work schedule and didn't have a lot of time to devote to selling several items so he would accept my personal check. I told him I'd be mailing a check the next day and John surprised me by saying he would also ship the radio the next day.. My check and his radio passed each other 2 days later and on the morning of the 4th day, both the check and radio arrived at their appointed destinations. The radio is actually better than John described, I am totally satisfied with it.. We both trusted each other and the deal went down as slick as greasy owl snot.. John is a great guy to deal with, honest and trustworthy.
