Scammer posing as W1WY James Aguiar

Post by kg8y »

BEWARE!!!!
Scammer posing as W1WY. w1wyjamesf@gmail.com

Asking for cashapp and zelle payment for parts that don't match the description. Sending photos that were taken in 2001 that don't match at all. Clearly no ham radio knowledge.

W1WY does not have an email listed on his qrz profile, so someone certainly needs to notify him if he is not SK.

FYI, the real James Aguiar, W1WY, has now added his email address (w1wy at mail dot com) to his QRZ profile.

As long as you are doing business with W1WY using that email address, you will be fine.

That great to hear that he updated his qrz. Hopefully, that will help keep folks from getting swindled by an imposter. Thanks for the update, Scott.
