Someone using my call W4PF to scam

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

Someone using my call W4PF to scam

Post by w4pf »

Gentlemen.... I have just received one phone call and an email from two different hams letting me know someone is using my call sign attempting to scam someone out of their equipment. I assure you it is NOT me......

Yes, someone is using W4PF's identity to scam.

The e-mail address the scammer is using is finnbarnett7@gmail.com

This is the latest e-mail from the scammer:

"I would like to let you know that the payment will be sent and it will be in excess so it will cover the attendant so as soon as you get the payment you deduct your asking price and send the remain to my movers so they can pick up as soon as possible and just consider this item sold to me. Thanks for your understanding."

Red flags all over it!

The real W4PF is NOT a scammer - he is a victim of someone using his identity.
