You too?

Here is the text of a complaint I just lodged with the U.S. Postal Service regarding Mr. Duclos:

On September 6, 2005 I answered via e-mail an advertisement placed on the website "WWW.QTH.COM" for a piece of amateur-radio equipment. The ad in question was placed by Donald J. Duclos, K3DJD. I was informed via e-mail that I could have the piece of equipment for $150.00 plus $12.00 shipping. On September 8 I mailed Mr. Duclos a money order for the amount of $162.00. On Saturday, September 17 I e-mailed Mr. Duclos and inquired as to whether he had received the money order; he responded on Sunday, September 18 that in fact he had and would be shipping the equipment on Monday, September 19. On September 24 I e-mailed Mr. Duclos and requested a tracking number for the package. I have heard nothing from him; two follow-up e-mails (the last one being a request for the merchandise or a refund of my money) have subsequently gone unanswered. Mr. Duclos does not have a publicly-available telephone number where he can be reached.

I suggest that you go to the folloing URL:

https://www.usps.com/postalinspectors/f ... plaint.htm

and do same.

(Mr. Duclos could be ill, out of the country or so forth...but the courtesy of an e-mail to anyone whom he's transacted business with would go a long way.)

If you feel you have been scammed by this person, do turn in a complaint with the authorities. I'm not sure what else can be done, but I may be making a call to the Prince Frederick, MD chief of police to find out.

Frederick, MD ???? Good luck, I used to live there. They will not have time for such trivial matters......

If Perkens resterurants ever run out of coffee, maybe, but that is not too likely...

They don't even get too excited when there is a shooting in the front yard.

Long live Dixie.............................

Actually in my case he hasen't cashed the money order yet.
I don't know what he thinks he going to do with it.
I hope you kept your MO. receipt, because the serial number on it
makes it possable to track the status of it.

Yes you can do that but it takes 60 Days to get your money
back ( from the Date the MO. was issued ) Papers have to be filed
out and you pay a $3. fee.
All this time we have been giving Duclos time to redeem Himself
..... But I don't think thats going to happen.

Was packaged very good and is in great shape.

I thanked Don in my e-mail reply and apologized for the misunderstanding. A little communication from the seller's family would have gone a long way towards alleviating any misconceptions, though.

Hope your situation turns out equally well, Steve.

Don D. .... GOOD DEAL
