Kenwood TS-480HX

If anyone has a Kenwood TS-480HX, you know there is a DB-9 port on the front of the radio. My question is I just went to a IMAC G-5 computer, which is apple. I am looking for a straight thru Female DB-9 on one end to connect to the radio and the other end needs to be a USB. Is anyone using this setup? If you are where did you get it, and also does the apple computer reconize the hook up or do you need some sort of software. I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks. Walter. K4APO.
