John (Jack) Gibbons responded to my "WTB" ad for a Yaesu FT-101 "E" series transceiver. He said he had one that was in "Decent shape and included the mic and AC power cord"... I sent him a check for his asking price of $200 along with a pre-paid FedEX shipping label. I asked to let me know when he received the check. Nothing! My check cleared my bank Monday morning July 27th, 2015. After three days I saw the radio had not yet been shipped so I finally sent him another email asking when the radio would be shipped...Nothing again...So I called him several times...wouldn't take the call (he always had "Just left") and wouldn't return the call. The radio was finally shipped seven days AFTER CHECK CLEARED MY BANK with absolutely NO communications...The radio I received was full of CB crystals, missing several parts, no plastic on the panel, no mic or power cord, had numerous "modifications", and all three tubes were flat...In other words, a piece of crap that should have been junked long ago. ... Far from the "Decent Shape" as promised. I sent another email about the missing parts etc...NO REPLY!

This guy defined his character and sold his Integrity for a pittance. What a piece of work he must be..Trust him at your own peril....

UPDATE 9/1/15: The plastic was NOT on the panel as promised and no Priority Mail containing the missing (stolen) parts as promised, not even the courtesy of email response....The world's round and his is on the way...

I hate to respond to this wack job mr fitzgerold but here it is,as I told you a postal money order would have it shipped the same day as it was received,you chose personal check,as we talked on the phone about the radio I told you the falts,received great only problem was low output,i only tried it on 80m.it was very clean inside and out still having the plastic on the face of it,you told me you wanted a non working radio as it is your hobby to fix them.i never said I would include any acc for the radio,the only parts the were missing were the power cord,feet for the bottom and the spinner pin on the vfo knob that were taken off for packing.these items were left out during packing by my wife,you were very rude to her when you called every time,i work 12 to 16hr days as I have 2 jobs so she packed it,while the radio was in transit you called me everything but a white man only to tell me that your blood pressure med,s makes you that way.for the words in your e mails on what you plans are to come to my house in oct and the therets you have made left me no choice but to call the Nampa police deparment and Caldwell police as well,i fear the trip to my house would not end good for you.i have called my local pd to tell them whats going on and will file a no contact order if the bodily harm therets don't stop,you suffer from a bad case of buyers remorse,if you would like the missing parts I will send them priorty mail,that is the only fair thing I can do for you.
