That call sign was hijacked back in July by someone posing as the real Edward Hoffman.

The email address the scammer is using is [email protected]

N4NGV here, K5AH scammer tried to get me last week. I posted a WTB for a WM-1 meter, and he answered ad and offered one... very poor grammar. This guy has been busy, there needs to be some way to stop him...
THIS IS WHAT HE SENT:

EDWARD C HOFFMAN ([email protected])
Jan 17 at 3:38 PM

I want to sell out Autek Research WM-1 Meter in a splendid
condition . Are you in need of it or you have already?

I just got a reply from K5AH as well on a wanted posting for an LDG 600 PRO II. This is what was sent to me.

I want to sell out ldg 600 pro2 in a splendid
condition . Are you in need of it or you have already?

Identical to your offer. So I sent back a question if he had any pics and he sent

Hi,

My ldg 600 pro2 works well with no issue from a non smoking home.
Comes with original box, power cable, manual.
I am asking $205 shipped for it.

No I was very skeptical with the poor grammer and $205 shipped. I thought that was a bit low honestly. I recalled your posting about this and sure enough, it's the same person I would gather. Kinds bummed cause I did want the tuner, but I'm sure there really is no tuner. He eventually did send a pic of an LDG 600 PRO II just sitting on a table. I couldn't find the picture with a quick online search, but I'm sure it's out there somewhere.

Low look up count on a callsign, no e-mail address on QRZ, low asking price and poor grammars. All are red flag of a scam.
