Folks, please be aware to check your items purchased on QTH at the moment you receive them. So many times in life it is buyer beware. I recently made this mistake. I purchased an item from Martyn (K4TEC - Martyn Allison) which I will list the add below. When I received the item I opened the box and the proper manual was on top and the item tightly wrapped in bubble wrap. I was not yet ready to use it so I set it aside. A number of days later I unwrapped the item and instead of it being a MFJ-998 it was a MFJ-993B. At that time I had already deleted the contact info from my main computer. I contacted QTH to see if they could help me locate the contact or add, but they could not. Today, I found the contact info and add in my office computer and placed a nice email to Martyn to see if we could search out and rectify this situation. He promptly wrote me back without any research and said he never had this model (the 993B) in stock. He sells lots of items and without checking, he just wrote me off. I understand too much time has gone by and it is probably my loss. I have purchased many items on QTH in the last 6 months with very good results. I should have researched this seller a little better and checked the item when it came in. I'm sure Martyn will respond to this with a perfectly good explanation for the situation, but the bottom line is I paid for an item in which I did not receive.
