N3dug Doug Not Good

When I first sold something here on QTH I made some mistakes and I was given the time and chance to correct it.And I did. On Feb 3rd I replied to a listing for Ic 271a. (1113226) And the same day I sent funds. And got email from Doug saying it was shipped.About a week later I got
the package.I was on my way out of town for the day.When I picked up the box exspecting to find a nice boxed radio and put it inside til I got home.That was not the case I opened the box to find the radio floating around in a box twice the size and just peanuts thrown in for the ride.I left for the day.
Up on getting home the following day I was not happy with the packing job,oh I got the radio now enjoy it I said. Well guess what all the radio did ? It blinked before the display went dead. I right away looked for his email and got his email from paypal. I got no reply.Waited a few and emailed again Nothing. Well yup I
was mad. I waited a few more and on the 16th I noticed another listing he made and its still here (1115537) I emailed thru the orginal listing the last few times.So
I desided to email him thru the new listing and I told him about the packaging and the radio did not work please call me. He replied with" this ad is for a 970h you want to buy it" That was the last time I heard anything and I tried a few more times.And even tried tonite.
And now here I am weeks later and a trip to the radio man the display logic board beyond price to repair. I should of put in a grievance with paypal but I tried to
find some replacement boards to repair myself. I wanted the radio more then fighting Doug. Well I thought I was only buying an other 271a to replace the one from Doug nope I ended up getting a better radio that just needed cleaning. And I am selling what is good and left from Dougs radio as parts I recooped some moneys.I end up eating $100.
So BEWARE buying from n3dug.
The moral of this whole thing for me BEWARE but there are still good people here on Qth.
And one bad apple ain't gonna spoil it for me! Hams keep on Ham'n
