Frequent Re-Posting

Post by kd4e »

I have understood that QTH.COM rules discourage frequent re-posting.

The aggressive re-posting of the same items daily, and sometimes more than
once per day, has increased noticeably.

I am aware that doing so keeps a listing near the top but it also clutters the list
and artificially forces other listings down. It will eventually harm the list.

If this rule has either been suspended or is not going to be enforced it would
be good to know.

Those of us who try to follow the rules are being abused by those who selfishly
ignore them. If someone wants special exposure I believe the answer is to buy
an ad vs abusing the forum.

WDYT?

IMHO, YMMV ... 73, doc KD4E

I was beginning to think I was the only one who thinks the "Edited" ads a waste of time. Everytime I look at QTH.COM sales I find that I automatically skip over any ads marked with the "E" designation. Hey, I already SAW that one yesterday. If it wasn't interesting then, it's not now. If it's been a few days, I can always keep going back until I hit the date of the last look, but it seems like 75% of the postings are stale repeats. Maybe I'm just getting too old and crotchety.
